PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

Dr. Giangrasso, Michelle & Staff,

I just wanted to thank you for your kindness & professionalism yesterday when I came in for a filling and instead had a sudden major nosebleed, you were all as caring and accommodating as you would have been had I been able to have the filling. I did go to the health center where a nurse gave me some helpful suggestions. Before long, my nose finally stopped bleeding. I will call soon to reschedule my filling, but in the meantime, I wanted to extend my gratitude to all of you for making an awkward and unexpected visit to the dentist a little less uncomfortable than it could have been.

Sincerely Yours,
M.A.

I love Giangrasso Dental. We are new in town and saw their sign. I made an appointment and was completely at ease from the first visit. My hygienist was extremely thorough and informative. Dr. Joe was upbeat and explained everything as he went along with his exam. Just scheduled appointments for my husband and kids. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

At my last dental visit, I was told that I needed some periodontal work. I met with Dr. Sarah Shih and she was just great. She made me feel quite at ease and explained the procedure that I needed in detail. It was great to be able to see her in the same office as Dr. G. Love that there is “one stop shopping”. Had the procedure and couldn’t be happier with the result. Thanks Dr. Shih.

This is one of the friendliest offices I have ever been in. Nice to not be a number. The girls at the desk are so gracious, and the doctors are great. The hygienist is really thorough and informative. I recommend them all the time.

implantsHello,

This email is in response to a post I saw on Gardenmoms, and comes just a day after I saw my own dentist.  My dentist is in practice with his son.

My oldest child is very high maintenance - I anticipated great difficulty for his first dental visit (because of difficulties with other experiences).  I inquired with my own dentist, Dr. Giangrasso on Hanover Street in the North End and gave it a shot.  I was EXTREMELY pleased.  My oldest is now 7, and has been many, many times with no problems.

Tina is my hygienist of choice for my kids - she is great with kids, has kids of her own, gives great feedback to both parent and child.  She spends most of the time with my children during the visits.  The dentist is quick, patient, and understanding of my concerns about my child and potential anxiety.  They are entertaining, pleasant, and all things good.

I highly recommend both father and son Dr.'s Giangrasso and their practice for your child's dental care.

Best,

Becca

Since my early twenties, I suffered from TMJ.  As I aged, the pain seemed to increase so that I was in pain almost all of the time.  Over the years it was my hope that I would find a dentist who would address my jaw problems, but not one dentist ever made any attempts to correct the problem or even suggest a specialist.  Trips to the dentist always resulted in weeks of jaw pain.  Upon my first or second visit to Dr. Giangrasso, I was referred to a specialist who was great.  By the time I found Dr. Giangrasso, I needed a lot of dental work but the dental work was put on hold until my jaw problem was corrected.  After about a year and a half of jaw therapy, my jaw was pain free.  Dr. Giangrasso was a god send for me. Dr. Giangrasso and his entire staff are kind, friendly, compassionate, and absolutely competent.

Thank you, Dr. Giangrasso

CROWNS AND VENEERS

Crowns and VeneersCrowns - Crowns also known as "caps" are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance when decay has infected large portions of the tooth. Crowns are also used to anchor bridges, cover implants, and support cracked teeth. A crown can serve an esthetic purpose and is applied to a discolored or stained tooth to help restore its natural appearance. Crowns can be made in all porcelain or porcelain fused to a metal substructure.

Proper homecare and regular dental cleanings are essential to prolong the life of a crown. It is very important to floss in the area of the crown to avoid bacterial buildup around the restoration. Certain behaviors such as jaw clenching or bruxism (teeth grinding), may significantly shorten the life of a crown. Eating brittle foods, ice, or hard candy can compromise the adhesion of the crown and also damage it.

Veneers
Veneers - Special thin porcelain laminates, called veneers, can often be used to correct discolored, worn, cracked, and chipped teeth. A veneer can reverse years of staining caused by foods, drinks, and tobacco use. They can also be used to close gaps between teeth. Veneers are not recommended for those who clench or grind their teeth.
